Local Groundwater Static Level Monitoring Network
Through an OWEB grant, the HCWC is monitoring static levels for landowners who agree to have their wells monitored. Data is shared with OWRD and will be included with their Groundwater Study that is being conducted in partnership with USGS.
Next scheduled monitoring will be January 2018
| Science in the Sagebrush Steppe (college camp) is scheduled for April 26 – 29, 2018
High Desert Youth Range Camp (high school camp) is scheduled for June 13-16, 2018.

|Next Groundwater Study Advisory Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 10am – 4pm at the Harney County Community Center.|
| OWRD Groundwater Study Measurements:
November 2017 through February 2018 – Aquifer tests where time and conditions permit
February 19 – March 10, 2018 – Spring Synoptic groundwater level measurements (236 wells)
March thru September 2018 – Land surface elevation surveying at “synoptic” well sites
May, August & November 2018 – Quarterly groundwater level measurements at 118 wells
February – November 2018 – Surface water flow measurements at selected reaches as conditions allow
Measurements are conducted by Darrick Boschmann, Jerry Grondin, and other Department staff from Burns, Salem and Medford. The wells were previously visited after permission to access the wells was obtained from the well owner and/or well user. The permission and access is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!
